ABOUT THE ISLAND
Gili Air is part of a group of 3 small islands off the coast of northwest Lombok. These islands include; Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno.
With it's sandy beaches fringed with palm trees, The Gili's are best know for their coral reefs and sea turtles.
Gili Air has the best of both worlds between the three Gili Islands offering travellers the tranquillity and peace they’d expect on a small island but with enough entertainment and establishments to make it fun while enjoying everyday comforts.
GETTING TO THE ISLANDS
The fast boat services from Bali to Gili Air depart from Serangan, Padang Bai and Amed in Bali. We suggest choosing your departure harbour based on your pick-up location. Blue Water Express, Eka Jaya and Gili Getaway depart from Serangan in South Bali, while Gili Gili, Eka Jaya and Blue Water Express offer Padang Bai departures (east Bali).
If you're staying in Ubud or Candidasa a Padang Bai departure is recommended with Gili Gili, Eka Jaya or Blue Water Express. They all offer a direct route to the Gili Islands of which Gili Air is often the second stop. If you're staying in the North of Bali around the Amed or Tulamben area we recommend a departure from Amed to The Gili's with Freebird Express.
However if you are coming from Lombok to Gili Air the easiet way is via Teluk Nare Harbour and is only a short 10-minute speed boat ride away. The close distanc
e between Lombok and our tropical paradise that is Gili Air is now easily accessible by speed boat with Gili Island Transfers, making a trip there effortless.
